About
In 2013 the Simpsonville Library and Museum of Revolutionary War History opened its doors to tell the story of the Battle of Great Cane Brake, the only Revolutionary War Battle to take place in Greenville County.
Museum founder Tom Weidner and curator Alan Bell are dedicated to preserving the memory and historical elements of the Revolutionary War, especially of those who gave their lives for the freedom of the United States. Admission is free, and the museum is located in historic former Simpsonville middle and high school located at 110 Academy St. We hope you will visit us soon to learn more about the rich heritage of Upstate South Carolina.
