The Battle of Great Cane brake
The Battle of Great Cane Brake took place Dec. 22, 1775, and was the only Revolutionary War Battle to take place in Greenville County.
Col. Richard Richardson lead the Patriots in this battle. While none of the Patriots were captured or killed in this battle, 130 Loyalists were captured and six of them lost their lives.
