Thank you to the attendees and especially the ladies of the Snow Campaign Chapter for decorating and providing wonderful refreshments and Ms. Carol Bettencourt, a new addition to our board and owner of our neighbor Artisan Dance, for calling and teaching the dances.
A message from Dot Cooley of the Snow Campaign Chapter, NSDAR:
"A celebration of George Washington’s 286th birthday was held February 25th at the Simpsonville Arts Center. The Museum of Revolutionary War History sponsored the event of colonial dancing and good wishes for the first President of the USA. Official cake cutting was presented by Museum Director Tom Weidner and Snow Campaign DAR Chapter Regent Loretta Woods. Also in attendance were several local residents dressed in period celebration attire for the evening. Ms. Carol Bettencourt called the dances and gave instructions as needed. Many thanks to the Simpsonville businesses that sponsored the fabulous silent auction. The Snow Campaign Chapter, NSDAR was honored to participate and help sponsor this event. Many thanks to all for making this a successful event ! ! !"
